Greg Reece

Being active has always mattered to my own wellbeing, and I'm proud we back organisations that help more young people get involved and take part, whatever their circumstances.

There is more to Greg than sport, though he could happily talk about it all day. He cares just as much about people's health and wellbeing, about his community, and about a few causes he has taken up himself, from championing a wheelchair-accessible gym to getting more people onto a padel court, and lending a hand where it is needed further afield.

What matters to Greg

The causes close to Greg's heart

Health and wellbeing

Physical and mental health, and the difference that staying active and connected makes to both.

Sport for all

Making sport and activity something every young person can take part in, whatever their circumstances.

Young people

Opening doors for young people through clubs, coaching, teams and new experiences.

More than sport

Greg's interests run wider than sport alone, from health and community to lending a hand where it is needed.

Work Greg cares about, in action

The Reece Family Trust backs organisations working in the areas Greg cares most about. Here are a few of them.

Jobes Boxing Gym

In the ring

A session at Jobes Boxing Gym in the West End of Newcastle, one of the community projects Greg supports, using the sport to build confidence, discipline and self-belief in young people.

The gym runs free sessions for local teenagers, giving them somewhere to train, belong and channel their energy into something positive, the kind of grassroots work close to Greg.
