The Reece Family Trust (registered charity number 1139307) makes grants to organisations, including charities and not for profit organisations. Part of making a grant is receiving and assessing applications, and that means we need a way to contact the people applying.
We only hold information about people who apply to us for a grant on behalf of their organisation, and people who ask to receive our newsletter. Applicants are asked for contact details so we can talk to them about their application.
Everything we hold about you has been given to us directly by you, or by an organisation supporting you with your consent. It is held securely.
We use the information you give us to contact you as part of assessing your grant application, and to keep in touch about the outcome. If you have signed up to our newsletter, we use your email address to send you occasional stories from the projects we fund, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We keep your information secure with appropriate protections in place. Our policy is not to share it with anyone else or any other organisation, unless it is with other grant makers who are considering making a grant to your organisation.
We keep information supplied to us for a minimum of seven years, after which it is removed.
Where our use of your information relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can ask us to stop.
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
The law requires us to tell you the basis on which we handle your information. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it first. In other cases the law allows us to act where it is in our legitimate interest, for as long as we need to, and only where your interests, rights and freedoms are not overriding. In practice that means we check we are not causing you harm and not being intrusive.
